In this lecture I share my personal experience with the food in the refrigerator.

Two to Five Day Workshops

The Language of Landscapes:
Each of us has memories of special places. We may not have words to describe our feelings, but we know that there is a mystery to unveil. The focus of this workshop will be on designing a quilt that interprets and celebrates our connection to earth and sky.

The Creative Source: Honoring the Imagination:
What colors, shapes, and/or images are you repeatedly stitching into your quilts? What meaning do they hold for you? How many ways can they be expressed? This workshop explores these allurements as symbols, and the process of exploring these symbols as a path to develop a personal style that celebrates our uniqueness. Each person is asked to bring up to five sources of inspiration such as pictures from magazines, favorite objects, photographs, and/or gifts from nature (leaf, rock, etc). Allow your intuition to guide you. Using these symbols, students will be guided through exercises that evolve, one step at a time, into a completed project. The steps are simple and each student will receive personal guidance from the instructor.

Innovative Stitching:

Spend a day exploring free form machine stitching. This class is designed for both the beginner and the advanced student who want to learn and practice new stitching possibilities. The class will be filled with demonstrations, discussions, and one-on-one guidance.

In this one day workshop you will exercise your intuitive skills through a series of exercises designed to increase your confidence in expressing your personal style. It will be a fun day. The exercises are easy. There will be lots of discussion and one-on-one guidance.
